Emergency room care * doctors, nurses, and other health professionals assess and treat life-threatening injuries or severe illness Geriatric Emergency Management - Specialized emergency room care and follow-up support for older adults who may need in-home supports, other medical specialists, or community services Psychiatric Emergency Services - Specialized emergency room care and follow-up support for intense emotional distress * team of nurse case managers, psychiatrists, and residents works with community partners to reduce return visits to the emergency room * consults mental health agencies and family doctors regarding follow-up care Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence - Specialized emergency room care and confidential follow-up support for people who have been abused by an intimate partner, or have experienced sexual assault |
